Our staff and volunteers help clients with job readiness, resume building, and job application support. We are looking to partner with local employers to help the find a good fit for our refugee clients.
We provide ESL classes and cultural orientation courses for newcomers. ESL classes are held Monday and Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Contact the office for the CO schedule.
We partner with medical providers to provide donated or discounted health care to help refugees who are underinsured. This program ensures a healthy start for these newcomers while they adjust to their new homes.
Our team of staff and volunteers help families connect with their new community and learn how to navigate it through mentorship, education, and tutoring.
We connect individuals and families to legal resources to simplify the pathway towards citizenship.
Utah Valley Refugees is affiliated with Church World Service, a national refugee resettlement agency. We collaborate with the U.S. Department of State to assist newly arriving refugees and support their successful integration into life in the United States.
Utah Valley Refugees (UVR), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established in 2016 with the mission of assisting refugees in their quest to become self-reliant. UVR collaborates with community partners to improve the lives of refugees and immigrants in Utah County by providing essential services such as affordable housing, medical care, employment, and educational support for low-income refugees.
