Donate Health Care for Refugees in Utah County

Why provide free healthcare?

We want to improve access to healthcare for low-income and uninsured refugees. By partnering with local healthcare providers, we hope to decrease the number of refugees who primarily use the emergency room and reduce overall healthcare costs.

Join our Charitable Health Care Program

How does it work?

  • Healthcare providers can set the number of patients they are willing to see (or total amount of donated care) each year.
  • All donations are tax deductible.
  • Provider partners will receive charitable immunity for the free care they provide to UVR clients.

Your Role

  • Work with our staff to schedule appointments for refugee clients
  • Send referrals as needed for further treatment needs
  • Complete and send our office the insurance claim form (1500) after the appointment
  • Coordinate with UVR staff to ensure billing is processed as a charitable donation

Our Role

Utah Valley Refugees case managers coordinate all donated care appointments.

This coordination includes:

  • Eligibility assessment
  • Scheduling
  • Interpretation services
  • Referral services as needed.

Case managers work directly with the donating provider’s office staff to coordinate services and provide support for new patients. We are here to support both our clients and your staff!
