Utah Valley Refugees Privacy Policy

 

Utah Valley Refugees is committed to protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our SMS Service (“Service”), which is provided through a trusted third-party provider.


By using our Service, you agree to this Policy. Utah Valley Refugees may update this Policy at any time. The latest version will always be posted here, and your continued use of the Service means you accept any changes.

Security

Utah Valley Refugees takes reasonable steps to protect your information and requires our partners to do the same.
However, no system is completely secure. Please remember that your messages travel through third-party networks (like mobile carriers) that we do not control.

Never send personal or sensitive information (like your social security number or password) in text messages.

We will never share your mobile number or opt-in data with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.


Opting In and Out

Opting In:
You can join our SMS Service by:

  • Giving verbal consent to our staff 
  • Texting our SMS service
     

Opting Out:
You can stop messages anytime by replying STOP to a text from Utah Valley Refugees.
You will receive a confirmation, and no further messages will be sent.


Children

Our Service is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Teens aged 13–17 should only use the Service with permission from a parent or guardian.
By using the Service, you confirm you are 18 or older, or at least 13 with parental consent.


Limitation of Liability

Utah Valley Refugees and its partners are not responsible for disputes, damages, or claims arising from the use of the SMS Service or issues involving third-party providers.
